Why ByteBamboo Exists
ByteBamboo started with a simple observation: when it comes to digital products, marketing promises and real-world use are often two very different things. Many comparison sites simply repeat technical specs and manufacturer claims without checking how well a product actually works.
I want to do things differently. Whenever possible, I test products myself, document real-world experience, and dig deeper when one test is not enough. I always make clear what an assessment is based on.
ByteBamboo is not meant to be a collection of polished product claims. It is meant to help you make better decisions, with real measurements, documented experience, and clear context.

I am the founder of ByteBamboo and have been testing travel eSIMs in Switzerland and abroad under real-world conditions since 2026. As an IT specialist, I am less interested in what a provider promises than in what actually reaches the device. That is why I test eSIMs myself, from setup and network connection to speed, stability, streaming, and hotspot use. Technology matters to me when it genuinely helps in everyday life. That is why ByteBamboo focuses on real-world use, transparent measurements, and results that show weaknesses and failures too.
When I am not testing eSIMs or working on the site, I am probably trying to figure out why something is more complicated than it needs to be. 🤷♂️
